If your calcium carbonate hardness is above 250, you may need to change the carbon block and membrane more frequently than every 6 months. The unit is designed to shut down if the membrane or pre-filters become clogged. As the system recycles the water rejected by the membrane, the TDS level of the water entering the membrane filter continually increases. Therefore, more frequent carbon block and membrane changes are likely for water with a higher TDS. It is recommended to always have at least one spare carbon filter and one spare membrane on hand with the unit.

Filter levels:

1 – Quick-change sediment filter 5 μm: removes coarse particles, e.g. sand, rust, chlorine, limescale.

Change interval: 1-3 months (depending on water consumption and quality)

2 – Quick change composite / activated carbon filter : removes chlorine and organic contaminants.

Replacement interval: 12 months

3 – Quick-change membrane 50 GPD: removes all contaminants and aromas almost 100%

Replacement interval: 24-36 months (depending on water consumption and quality)

4 - Quick-change insert filter: Hygienic post-filter antibacterial: Removes 99% of bacteria and viruses and improves the taste.

Replacement interval: 12 months
