    Product Information:
    Black Pu Erh tea (also called red tea in China) from the Yunnan district. Thanks to its special production, it achieves an incomparable earthy taste. Pu-erh tea goes through a special maturation process, which gives it its relatively dark and slightly reddish color and earthy taste. A Pu Erh tea that was produced before 1960 was usually a green tea. It was steamed and pressed into brick or ball shapes. It was then stored dry to mature. The maturation period is at least five years. Starting in the 1970s, a new process was developed to speed up the Pu-Erh tea ripening process. The Pu erh tea is ready to drink in just a few months. A variety of bacteria and fungi such as Penicillium chrysogenum, Rhizopus chinensis and Aspergillus clavatus are involved in traditionally made Pu Erh tea. In contrast to most green teas and black teas, PuErh tea gains in quality, value and taste as it ages. High-quality Pu Erh tea, like all teas, can be brewed several times. Pu erh tea is said to have many positive properties, which can also be found in specialist literature.
