Danger symbol
Danger
Contains food grade citric acid. Causes serious eye irritation. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Wear eye protection. If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. If possible, remove contact lenses. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/national regulations.
Origin and properties of the ingredients
The raw material for the production of citric acid are the by-products from the sugar industry, such as molasses. During the decalcification process, citric acid, in its general capacity as an acid, acts on the precipitated limestone and dissolves it again while releasing carbon dioxide.
Technical data
Density: (20 °C) approx. 1.073 g / cm³
pH value: (20 °C, 5 g / l H₂O) approx. 3-4
Store between 10 and 25°C if possible.
Application
Product specificity
Due to its quality as a food ingredient, its subtle smell and its gentle effect on metals and plastics, citric acid is better suited than other acids for versatile descaling in kitchens and sanitary areas.
scope of application
The limescale remover can be used effectively wherever heavy calcification occurs.
Danger: Citric acid has a decalcifying effect. Please keep away from calcareous surfaces such as marble, concrete, engineered stone, limestone, etc.
Application
The limescale remover can be used effectively wherever heavy calcification occurs, on fittings, tiles, toilets, cooking pots, coffee machines, washing machines, etc.
Use undiluted
For fittings, tiles and toilets - where the limescale remover cannot be heated - leave it to act for a few minutes, depending on the limescale layer, then rinse thoroughly with clear water.
Application diluted
In saucepans and for descaling machines - where the acid can be heated and is therefore more effective.
Dosage kettle
Heat approx. 100 ml per 0.5 liters of water to approx. 60 °C, leave on for 20 to 30 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
Dosage coffee machine
Pour 200 ml of limescale remover and 800 ml of water into the water storage container of the coffee machine. Descale according to the machine's operating instructions. A subsequent pass with clear water is absolutely necessary - until the water is clear.
Dosage 4.5 kg washing machine
Add 1 liter of limescale remover to the 60 °C main wash cycle without laundry. Run the wash cycle and clean the lint filter.
Dishwasher dosage
Add 1 liter of limescale remover to the main wash cycle of the longest rinse cycle (after the pre-rinse!) - with or without dishes. Let the program run through to the end.
ecology
Biodegradation
Citric acid is a component of the plant, animal and human organism and is therefore quickly and completely broken down into carbon dioxide and water by the microorganisms present in nature.
